If you are what you eat, oh to be an almond. Sinewy, beautifully tanned skin and sweet smelling—sign me up and I’ll have it in latte form. If you are partial to an almond milk coffee and also wish to resemble the fairest nut, follow our delicious journey around town where we found the places serving up Perth’s best almond milk coffee.
The Little Concept
Rejoice, my latte loving friends! Whether you want coffee, matcha, red espresso, red gingerbread or chai, your almond milk can make sweet latte love in many forms at TLC. There’ll be no cheeky side eye as you order almond milk here, in fact, they don’t even charge extra for it. The chai list is also drool-worthy and as summer skips into view, we’ll be swapping our lattes for almond milk iced filthy chai if you don’t mind.
Holly Raye’s Cafe
Holly Raye's is the newest kid on the block and it has our wellness radar going berserk. Acai bowls, green smoothies and cold pressed juices—oh my! And of course, there is almond milk for our lattes. The almond milk comes from Perth’s best (or maybe the world’s best) almond milk creators, Pure Press (seriously, 18 percent almond content is worth a world title) and again, Micrology supplies the beans. We. Are. Excited. Make it next on your list.
With Prana chai and red espressos co-existing peacefully alongside the coffee bean here, Repeat Offender is anything but offended when your order is a little more complicated than “flat white, please”. In fact when I order my almond milk latte, I’m asked whether I’d like iced or hot…nothing here is assumed. It’s like the United Nations of coffee shops—no judgement here, peeps. The space is as cool as the menu, wander beyond the raw ball cabinet and sip (or skol #nojudgement) your almond milk latte in the gallery section of the cafe.
Tucked into a fairly obscure location in Doubleview backstreets, Little Sisto is worth jumping off the beaten track to source a ridiculously good almond milk latte. The coffee is sourced locally from Perth’s own Micrology Coffee Roasters and the almond milk doesn’t come much fresher than the organic, homemade bottle delivered from Dunn and Walton around the corner. Bottoms up, health lovers.
Amidst the urban grind, this little green ensconced cube is a welcome retreat in the CBD. Touting sustainability from all angles, most of the goods here are made on site or sourced locally. Your almond milk latte is sourced again by the good folk at Pure Press, so break up your workday or shopping expedition with a cup of delicious, nutty joe in this green haven.
May Street Larder
You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to delicious, healthy food at this trendy East Freo hang. If you haven’t come specifically for the Cocowhip (droooool), get your almond milk latte here nicely accompanied by something quinoa, sprouted, paleo-friendly, gluten-free, vegan…every health trend has been considered and spruced up into an Insta-worthy meal.
The Little Pantry
If you like a side serve of fabulous Italian barista with your almond milk latte, this bustling hotspot is for you (Daniele, you’re my favourite). Wedged between the man food (think thick paninis laden with meat, huge wedges of frittata and homemade cakes layered so high a sliver would feed a family of four), healthy options peek out including a lip-smacking almond milk latte. They use Nutty Bruce’s organic almond milk to boot, which has an ace ingredients list (filtered water, organic activated almond, organic rice syrup and sea salt).
