We’re massive market lovers here on the Sunshine Coast, particularly during our chilly winter months when it’s just too cold for lazy beach days.
So when we heard we’d just scored a new weekly pop-up market we were absolutely thrilled. But when we found out the market was going to be held in the adorably cute Lamkin Lane we were nek-level ecstatic.
For those of you who don’t know what Lamkin Lane is let us set the scene. Hidden in the backstreets of Caloundra is where you’ll find this little beehive of uber cool kids. It’s become a bustling place filled with hot spots like Lamkin Lane Espresso Bar, Greenhouse Cafe, Mr. Z & Co and Villa Verde Living.
Set amongst all this is The Shed at Paisley Park Project. A charming and versatile space where the weekly markets will now be held. And what will the markets be called you might ask? Let us introduce you to The Collective Markets.
The Collective was developed by a group of entrepreneurial mums and eclectic female artisans with an affinity for the Sunshine Coast, coupled with their passion to produce unique goods. The Collective will also showcase and sell upcycled furniture, hand-crafted jewellery, one-off macramé pieces, woven rugs, art and various homewares using a variety of textures and materials.
Their designs are earthy and bohemian, perfect for the modern wanderer, dreamer or gypsy.
So, if you’re looking for that special something for yourself or a unique gift this could be the perfect new market for you.
