Well, Old Sport, it’s time for you to party like its 1925 because there’s a Great Gatsby party happening this month (unfortunately our boy Leo won’t be in attendance but nonetheless we’re pretty darn excited). An exclusive mansion will be hosting a screening party featuring Baz Luhrmann’s 2013 film of the 1925 F Scott Fitzgerald film The Great Gatsby.
Following the success of Beyond Cinema’s Titanic immersive experience in January (an epic recreation of the voyage on Sydney harbour complete with 1000 guests throwing it back to 1912), let’s just say, these peeps know how to throw a bash.
Get ready to don your finest glitzy flapper attire and transport yourselves to a space full of all the 20s throwbacks. There are secret rooms and gardens to explore along with dancers, jazz and fireworks to get y’all amongst all the action of the jazz age. There is a bunch of dining packages so you can choose to indulge in incredible food and four hours of unlimited booze, that is unless you decide to get your inner aristocrat on and dine in Gatsby’s private guest suite.
Before arrival, all attendees are assigned a character for the evening with a dress code to suit. For those of you who live for a themed party, this one’s for you. You'll find three Tanqueray gin bars—see and be seen at Gatsby’s dining hall, serving Tanqueray Gin "Fresh Apple Martinis", or slip classic G&Ts at one of two twilight bars in the mansion's rolling green gardens. You can even see how they mixed moonshine back then with New Jersey mob at the speakeasy – a cellar-based prohibition-style bar below the grand banquet hall.
Tickets are limited though folks so don’t dilly dally. For more info, head over here.
