Our friends over at Bootleg Bar + Italian Food have just finished revolutionising their already awesome Pott's Point dining space into an even more exciting concept. Introducing… Bootleg Meatballs, our new favourite Italian restaurant in Sydney! Venturing into Bootleg you will be transported to another time and place—think the '50's meets cosy industrial feel within a New York diner-style format (so cool!). The walls are adorned with hip-hop iconic photographs, '80's ghetto blasters, vintage collector figurines, and cassettes (remember those things?).

But lets be honest, we're all about the food, here at The Urban List, so let's get down to business. Since 2009, Bootleg's creators, Rob Gal and Elliot Krass, have offered Sydneysiders premium, yet affordable Italian-inspired cuisine within a cosy and casual setting. Now, they've reworked the menu to focus on their finest asset—the most tender, succulent meatballs we've ever tasted! Using an age-old tradition, the meatballs are hand-ground and crafted in-house and designed to occupy that happy place in your heart.

We love the mix 'n' match style menu where you pick one of five different balls, such as beef, pork, chicken, fish, or vegetarian as well as your 'Overs', 'Unders', and  'Sides'. 'Overs' consist of your napoli, green (kale pesto—yum!), or white (classic & creamy—mmm) sauces, while for 'Unders'  you can pick from pastas, white beans, polenta, chickpeas, or spuds. The delicious 'Sides' include roasted vegetables, leafy salad, truffled mushrooms, buttermilk onion rings, or deep-fried pickles.  Don't worry, we had a hard choice picking, too, but it is all so incredibly tasty, you couldn't possibly be dissapointed (and we guarantee you'll be licking your fingers and asking for more). Pair your meal with one of Bootleg's famed Bloody Mary Martinis, made from homemade clarified tomato consommé, or a glass of wine from their list of world-sourced drops.

After you've munched away on the best meatballs of all time, be sure not to miss out on the infamous vanilla ice-cream sandwich on a choc-chip slider bun with hot chocolate sauce. Ice-cream sandwich. Choc-chip slider bun. Hot chocolate sauce. Yes.

Whether you're looking for a well-priced Sydney inner-city dining option, or are just on the lookout for where to find the best Italian restaurants in Sydney, Bootleg Meatballs has you covered!
