In only good news for Sydney foodies, Neil Perry and the Rockpool Group have announced they'll be opening a dedicated burger joint at Sydney's World Square in late October, next door to dumpling house Din Tai Fung.
Joining the ranks of Sydney establishments honouring beef and buns, including cult favourites Chur Burger and Parlour Burger, Perry's Burger Project will serve affordable incarnations of his famed Wagyu burger (of Rockpool Bar & Grill), as well as chorizo hot dogs, chicken wings, chips, old-school shakes, sodas, and housemade ice cream. Burgers will be priced a nifty $7.50 to $10 a pop, with the option of takeaway also available for a bun on the run.
While many of the details are still in the works, we can reveal that Perry plans to take his Burger Project across the country into Melbourne, Brisbane, and maybe even Perth. So keep your eyes (and taste buds) peeled.
