Add These Eats To Your Summertime Hit List

summertime at The Star

YASSSS, it’s summer! And you know what that means—holidays (for many of us), good eating, good drinking, and a helluva lot of gooood times. To take full advantage of those precious days off, or even just the warm midweek weather, head to The Star for some delicious offers that may just leave you with enough coin to sit back and enjoy some afternoon drinks in the sun. And really, isn’t that one of the best summery things to do in Sydney?

Whatever you’re in the mood for (and no matter your budget), we’ve got you covered this summer.

Feeling fancy but frugal

Get in on the $40 Early Summer Dinners at BLACK by ezard, Sokyo and Osteria Balla Manfredi (which are some of the best restaurants in Sydney). Between 5.30pm and 6.30pm Mondays to Thursdays, enjoy one course paired with a glass of selected beer or wine for (you guessed it), $40. The menu offering will change regularly, meaning you can go numerous times during the summer and try different dishes.

Note: BLACK by ezard is closed on Mondays.

Fast eats without fast food

Here’s the sitch. You’re hungry and low on time but still want something delicious (that doesn’t involve some fast food chain). Osteria Balla Manfredi is offering a $19 one-course lunch on weekdays from 12pm till 2.30pm as part of The Star’s Fancy A Quickie offer. So whether you’re a high-powered business-type in need of a power lunch, or just don’t want to spend too much time eating when there’s shopping, drinking and general frivolities to be had, beeline it to Osteria Balla Manfredi for a quick and tasty lunch.

Eat your weight in seafood

The words Seafood Extravaganza conjures up visions of lobsters, prawns and oysters as far as the eye can see. Three of The Star’s signature restaurants—Sokyo, Osteria Balla Manfredi and BLACK by ezard—will be creating decadent seafood menus throughout December and January for your feasting pleasure. Because what’s summer without eating your weight in seafood?

A trip to Italy

Let’s be honest. Italy is great and all, but at this time of year it’s cold and not quite like the sun-soaked coastline and wine regions we’re picturing in our minds. On the upside, it’s summer in Sydney which means we can pretend like we’re living in an Italian summer (if only for a meal) with The Star’s Italian Affair. From Tuesdays to Fridays, 12pm till 2.30pm, at Pizzaperta, kick back and dig into one of the best pizzas in Sydney for $19 which includes a glass of beer, wine, or sangria. Bellissimo!

Mid-week lunch sorted

On days you don’t feel like eating lunch at your desk (umm, like every day?!) or if you’re after something delicious and not too expensive, head to Luke Nguyen’s Fat Noodle or Fuel for a one-course $12.95 Midday Madness lunch on weekdays from 12pm till 2pm. It’s quick, easy and might leave you with enough change for an after-work drink (or two). Niiiiice.

Cheap lunch dates with a mate

Up for a cheap date? The Chop Chop express lunch for two at The Century will fill up both of your bellies with eight dim sum, three lunch dishes and rice for only $49. Prepare for a belly full of Cantonese deliciousness, a face full of smiles, and hands full of high fives when you take your lunch date to The Century for lunch.

Ballin’ on a budget

There are few greater sounds in this world than popping bottles of champagne. If you’re on a bit of a budget, you can still live large at BLACK by ezard’s Champagne Weekends. On Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm till 2.30pm, indulge in a three-course lunch paired with champagnes for $125 per person. And while $125 may seem like a lot of $$$, it includes champagne you guyyyys. Not to mention good food AND a pretty sweet way to spend a long lunch in Sydney.

These are just some of the awesome offers. Head to The Star for the full hit list.
