Guys, congratulations… we’ve passed the winter halfway point. TBH, we’d like to thank the squad consisting of mulled wine and cheese boards for getting us to this point.

Aaaand what better way to celebrate this feat than with world famous pizza, wine masterclasses and hot toddies?

Swap the uggs for joggers and get moving into this week. Here are six awesome things to do in Sydney this week.

ICYMI World Tequila Day is coming and you'll want to check out Sydney's latest Margarita!

Pizzeria Beddia Bondi Beach Public Bar Pop-Up

We don’t joke about cheese related goods so just so you know, the best pizza in America is touching down in Bondi Beach. Dough my goshhh. Joe Beddia, is bringing his magical pizza creations from Fishtown, Philadelphia to Bondi Beach Public Bar and FYI he’s teaming up with executive chef Monty Koludrovic and sommelier James Hird. We’re just a tad excited to join the Beddia cult but it’s first in best dressed, so slip into your finest and tuck in. For more details head here.

When: Sunday July 22nd to Saturday July, 6pm until sold out.
Where: Bondi Beach Public Bar, Bondi Beach.

Hidden Rooftop Campfire

Bringing the wilderness to our concrete jungle, Wild Turkey is hosting a pop-up cocktail event on a hidden Sydney rooftop and yes, by hidden, we mean absolutely and undeniably hidden. The bush-inspired sanctuary is promised to deliver real moments from the outdoors, featuring a handcrafted fire pit by renowned sculptor Dion Horstmans and a rich, camp-themed two-course menu. Ticket costs include a Wild Turkey drink on arrival and a two-course menu curated by Continental Deli with paired cocktails. Walk-ins will be accepted on Sunday from 12pm to 10pm…if you can find this wild spot. Book your tickets here.

What: Wild Turkey Spirit Of The Wild

Think Picasso and Pinot… no Monday is complete without some arts and crafts. Oh, and a sip or two of fine wine. Bring the squad, pop-on an apron and create your own masterpiece which you can take straight home to the pool room. If you’re like us and consider yourself more talented at holding a beverage than a paintbrush, don’t fear… the class is guided step by step so you can leave feeling like a creative genius. Grab your tickets here.

When: Monday 23 July, 7pm-9pm
Where: Harbord Diggers, Freshwater.
Cost: $40 per person

Tuesday 24 July

Gurdy’s Share Plates

Did someone say cheap ‘n’ cheerful? This funky Newtown joint is warming us up this winter with hot toddies and three for thirty buckeroo share plates. Or don’t share, we’re not judging. The Gurdy's menu is dishing up citrus cured salmon, lamb meatballs with spicy tomato sauce and plenty of vegetarian and vegan options like the pumpkin and quinoa falafels drizzled with maple tahini dressing.

When: Every Tuesday, 5pm onward
Where: Gurdy’s, Newtown
Cost: $30 for three shared plates

NOMAD Winter Wines

Nomad is our new BFFL because they’re giving us the chance to be total wine connoisseurs at your next dinner party. Thought you couldn’t appreciate wine more than you already do? Think again. From wine tasting 101 to the really funky stuff like understanding climate, grape style and flavour profiles, the legends at this Middle Eastern joint have you covered. Kicking off once a month, this week’s class centres around winter wines paired with hand-selected cheeses and meats. Time to head to wine school, whoever said adulting wasn’t fun? Get more deets right here.

We have date night sorted. Cosy up by the fireplace with cheese and whiskey in hand mouth this Wednesday at Juanita’s. Winter’s aren’t as drab as they are fab after all. If hand picked whiskeys from around the globe aren’t your vibe, there’s also a selection of wines to pair that 'grammable cheese board with. For more details, head here.
