You buy it, swill it, sniff it and of course, drink it, but have you ever made your own wine before? If not, and you consider yourself a true wine connoisseur (as in, you spend more than $7 on a bottle on a Friday night), this new experience at City Winery might just be for you.
Launching in 2020, the urban winery’s inaugural Vintage Memberships will have you making your very own plonk, from grape to bottle. Over four days spread throughout the year, members will do everything from stomping the grapes to plunging ferments, blending and bottling, all under the guidance of some expert winemakers. Best of all, at the end of the year, you’ll have six bottles of your very own wine to drink. How’s that for a rare vintage?
Memberships are a pretty hefty $550 per person, but don’t worry that you’re just paying to de-stem grapes and bottle wine—you’ll also get a full City Winery lunch spread on three of the days, and very serious bragging rights at your next dinner party. “Oh this bottle? Yeah, it’s a 2020 vintage—actually, I crushed the grapes myself.”
Keen? You can find out all the details here, and even gift a membership to a friend.
