How To Live Your Best Life Without Breaking The Bank

Here at The Urban List we’re all about living our best lives and having some great times with our mates—surely we aren't alone in that. But, we’re also well aware that the latest Insta-trendy activity may not be particularly wallet-friendly. To save your weekends and wallets we’ve pulled together the perfect list of budget-friendly must-dos, so you can live your best life without breaking the bank.

In celebration of Johnnie & Ginger, our mates from Johnnie Walker have helped us shape together this killer list. So no more excuses, save your pennies and enjoy some fun times with your mates!

Game On, Always

Have a night in with your fave drinks (Johnnie & Ginger please!) and a game of your choice (we're addicted to Cards Against Humanity). To make things interesting, crack out the Cluedo and get your CSI hat on. Or, throw it back with a game of Uno. Bring on the competitive vibes and dranks, please!

Get Your Chef On

Spend your weekend impressing the pants off your mates with a local, epic feast for your crew. Need a guide? Don't stress—we've done all the hard work here, so there's nothing left for you to do. Oh, and just don't forget to pair it with a glass of Johnnie and Ginger

Art Attack

Pick up some cheap canvases and paints and get your Picasso on at home. Why not paint each other’s faces Picasso style for some lols all-round, or paint each other using only one brush stroke. The world is your literal oyster here, so go wild. Bob Ross, eat your heart out.

Don't Sweat The Free Stuff

Get your sweat on without signing your life away to a local gym by hitting up your local council's free exercise programmes. Or getting your money-savvy butt into gear with a free workout on Youtube and your best pals. Fitspo never cost so little!

Have a DIY sesh with your besties and make cute teapot succulents. If you’re anything like us, you’ve killed (a few) succulents before so we’ve got an easy-to-follow guide so you don’t make the same mistakes twice. Hey, no judgment here: we're serious plant killers. To make a teapot succulent, just grab a teapot from your local op shop, line the bottom with pebbles, fill with dirt, add your succulent and then display with smugness. Easy!

These must-dos are a fail-safe way to live your best life on a serious budget. Grab a case of Johnnie Walker here to fuel your weekends, because, if you’re anything like us you're already planning an epic budget-friendly weekend with your mates.
