Playing off our innate impulse to sing along with club anthems, Pub Choir kits us with the tools to make something truly great, teaching a whole song in three-part harmony to a crowd of up to 500 people in just 90 minutes; no experience or aptitude required. The premise is so deliciously pure it’s a wonder no one thought of it sooner.
Since their inaugural event in the back of the Bearded Lady in West End, this choral sensation has taken off, outgrowing venue after venue until Pub Choir’s community reached a stonking 500 people and made The Elephant Hotel in Fortitude Valley their home. This March heralds Pub Choir’s first birthday and a whole year of bringing people together over great tipples and bomb tunes.
To celebrate this milestone, they’ll be hosting a very special birthday event this March at The Triffid—one of the few venues in town that can accommodate their ever-growing collection of choristers. In fact, Pub Choir has grown so popular that they’re expanding to the Sunshine Coast in a matter of weeks (more details as they roll out).
If this sounds like your jam, come check out the next Pub Choir this Thursday 8 February from 7-9pm, and for just $10 you can join the fastest-growing choral movement in town and walk away with a three-part harmony under your belt.
