Anyone who’s made motorway pilgrimage from Brisbane to Byron Bay knows that one of the main reasons we tolerate the monotonous 2.5hr drive (other than for the majesty of Byron itself, of course—seriously, if they could bottle that up…) is to stuff our faces at the very, very famous Three Blue Ducks at The Farm.
Well, today just got a little better for all of us with news breaking that Three Blue Ducks has chosen Brisbane as their first non-NSW location, expanding their foodie empire to the heart of the CBD!
What’s more, they are set to take up residence in the highly anticipated W Hotel as their signature dining experience, due for completion next month.
The space they’ve snagged in the development is a stunner; housed in the very heart of W Hotel, Three Blue Ducks Brisbane will have uninterrupted river views that look out on to South Bank and beyond, being designed specifically to suit the Three Blue Ducks produce selection and cooking ethos.
We’re talking a wood-fired oven, a charcoal pit (anyone who’s tried their suckling pig knows that this is a BIG deal) and rotisserie for maximum flavour (and, obviously a little for the dramatics).
Once open, Three Blue Ducks will be open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week showcasing a seasonal, ever-changing menu that highlights the abundance of QLD and northern NSW produce.
Brisbane, you’re really finding your third year. And we’re really happy about it!
