Love Isn’t Dead! A Twilight Picnic Is Popping Up This V-Day

Lucky Brisbane is always marvellously clement on 14 February, so this year we’re making the most of it. In a brilliant move by the Vintage Picnic Company, they’re hosting a pop-up picnic beneath the stars for you and ya boo this V-Day.

As anyone who’s ever tried throwing a romantic picnic for their honey will know, artisanal teepees ain’t cheap. Neither are fairy lights, cushions, rugs, food and drinks that aren’t Passion Pop, and that’s why VPC have done all the hard yards yanking out the stops to bring us the whimsy of a little dusky romance without the hassle of actually having to do anything.

VPC ordinarily deals in weddings so they’re kind of overqualified for Valentine’s Day, which is exactly why we trust them to create some foxy atmos – perfect if you don’t dig on the mass-produced tokens and commercialisation of V-Day. Their twilight picnic will be held in an area of the idyllic and dapper flower-haven that is New Farm Park, and promises snackage from crack caterers at Pantry 360 and live tunes.

Places are limited so make sure you book your spot ASAP. And here’s a little bonus if you fancy making it into a double-date, just mention the arrangement when you book and both couples will get a complimentary bottle of bubbles. Because it just isn’t Valentine’s Day unless you get cockeyed in a park.
