5 Spots To Sip Frosé This Weekend

There’s a new way to drink yourself pink.

Combining our childhood love for sweet slushy drinks with a touch of adult refinement, barbie-pink Frosé is the drink of the summer.

Essentially rosé wine either dumped into a slushie machine or hand-blended to order, served with a teensy straw in a wine glass (because, class), self-declared wine connoisseurs should probably look away now.

And because it’s going to be hot AF this weekend, we’ve rounded up five spots you can sip Frosé on the Gold Coast this weekend.

Garden Kitchen & Bar

The masters of vino on tap, it was no surprise Garden Kitchen & Bar were mixing up Frosé before the people of the Gold Coast even knew what it was. They blend a combo of mixed berries, rosé, and ice, then garnish with mint sprigs and raspberries to make the most refreshing drink to wet your lips this summer! Paired perfectly with a beanbag in the sunshine.

King of Mexican sundowners in Nobby Beach, MexiCali’s candy coloured Frosé has been making the rounds on Instagram having dropped on the menu only a few weeks back. A combination of rosé, strawberries, and a touch of sugar to give the drink a slurpable consistency, this cool Frosé concoction can be ordered solo or go nuts and order a whole jug (to yourself).

Tribeca NYC

While OZ was plunged in the depths of winter, in the northern hemisphere New Yorkers were basking in the summer 2016 sun and a Frosé craze that would next hit Aussie shores. Taking their inspo direct from NYC’s Bar Primi, where the cocktail was born, the good folk at Tribeca are now serving up an all-day drinking blend of vodka, strawberries, dash of grenadine, and a beautiful Tempranillo Rose from WA. We’ve also heard whisper a sharp new menu is dropping soon, so now you have two reasons to call that Uber and head to Chevron Island.

The Island Rooftop

Surely Frosé was invented for the sole purpose of day drinking in the sunshine? So it’s no surprise you’ll find summer’s hottest drink waving back at you from the cocktail menu. Not checked out The Island Rooftop yet? Surfers Paradise’s sprawling new alfresco terrace is best enjoyed with a glass of alcoholic frozen slushie in hand.

Comuna Cantina

Pacific Fair’s Comuna Cantina is one of the best places on the Gold Coast to get your Frosé on—serving up super cute alcoholic slushies that are garnished with flowers and best paired with tacos and arepas. Yep, the cocktail game is seriously strong here, just check out their Insta feed that’s awash with a rainbow of colourful drinkies. Shopping on the Gold Coast will never be the same again.
