If throwing a Halloween shindig is not on your 2016 agenda, but you still want to party, then you’re in luck! We’ve hunted down a handful of our fave restaurants and bars who are gearing up to celebrate Halloween on the Gold Coast with monster bashes, and ya’ll invited.

Into the Woods at Stingray Lounge | Friday, October 28

First to kick off a weekend of sinister celebrations is QT Gold Coast’s Stingray Lounge. Somehow managing to make ghoulish look stylish, Stingray’s Into the Woods party will see the bar transformed into a mystically haunted setting with themed cocktails and eats. Halloween, we don’t get you, but we like you!

Halloween at NightQuarter | Saturday, October 29

Seriously folks, we know some of you are still yet to make the trek north to NightQuarter. WTF? Grab your besties and make an effort this weekend for their massive Halloween bash—there’ll be trick or treating, spooky decorations, games, themed eats and drinks from various vendors, and all the night market buzz NightQuarter is legendary for. If you’re hunting for one of the best Halloween parties on the Gold Coast, you’ve found it.

House of Horrors at Eddie’s Grub House | Saturday, October 29

Did we tell you how much we bloody love these guys? Eddie’s Grub House is smashing out their first ever Halloween party and you’re guaranteed it’ll be a night of dark and dingy good times at Cooly’s coolest dive bar. Starting at 7pm, bring your fun-lovin’ attitude and badass outfit (or just yourself), and get amongst it.

Hangry Halloween at Brooklyn Depot | Saturday, October 29

Never one to shy away from an excuse to get loose, Brooklyn Depot is throwing a ghoulish Hangry Halloween party this Saturday evening with face-painters, prizes for best dressed, live tunes, and one-night only drinks and eats, like the Spooky Burger. It’s family-friendly too, so dress up your mini freaks and give ‘em the Halloween-loving childhood us Aussies were all denied of!

Stranger Things at Komune Resort | Saturday, October 29

Another for the southerners, Komune Resort is dishing out the spooks this October. With an enticing $500 Komune tab up for grabs for best dressed, we reckon Stranger Things will be one of the most ridic Halloween parties on the Gold Coast. DJs Tom & Jarry will keep the crowd grooving well into the night, so you’d best be making no plans for Sunday.

Monster Mash at House of Brews | Saturday, October 29

Dig your fave Halloween costume out of the wardrobe and get yourself down to House of Brews for a crazy fun night of themed cocktails, carved pumpkins, and weird encounters. With a team predominately comprising North American ex-pats, you can be assured this lot will totally be in the ghoulish spirit. If you dare, kick-start Monster Mash with a stomach-curdling Brain Hemorrhage shot!

Terminus at One50 Public House | Saturday, October 29

Zombie freaks this one is for you, when One50 Public House becomes Terminus, home for the walking dead. Dress in your best ripped and bloody rags, ‘cause there will be face and body-painters on hand to finish off your outfit, while you knock back nasty-looking cocktails. The most epic zombies will be stoned with prizes.

Massacre-ade Ball at Elsewhere | Saturday, October 29

With Surfers Paradise the epicenter for Halloween parties this year, those starting their freak feast at House of Brews, Brooklyn Depot, or Hard Rock Cafe should be making plans to end it at Elsewhere. Doors to Elsewhere’s Masscare-ade Ball open at 9pm (free entry before 11pm for those in costume), with a wicked line-up of DJs planned to get you on the d-floor.

Day of the Dead Bash at Hard Rock Cafe | Friday, October 28 to Sunday, October 30

If you only go to American-themed Hard Rock Cafe once a year, Halloween is probs your best bet. Come late October, this lot take things very seriously with three events across three nights. Friday night is a Mexican-themed Day of the Dead shindig with staff going all-out in the makeup department, Saturday’s Voodoo wings challenge will prove who can handle the hottest wings, and the main event on Sunday arvo (2pm-4pm) is a costume party in conjunction with the Supernova Pop Culture Expo. These quirky folk dress up as a hobby, so there’s sure to be some crazy outfits in the mix.
