This Cheese Cake Is Now A Thing And You Can Get One On The Gold Coast

Cheese is our absolute weakness.

We love cheese so much, if given the chance, we’d happily eat it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Hands up, who’s nodding in agreement?

Those who’ve already had the pleasure of meeting Megan Fernandez of Your Platter Matters, Gold Coast’s goddess of cheese platters (yep, we just gave her that title), will attest that this young lass is an absolute breath of fresh air.

Your Platter Matters has been mastering the art of the most ridic cheese spreads for two years now—if you haven’t already seen them, check out her Insta page—and just added another service to the repertoire: a bespoke cheese cake tower thingo that’s got our mouths absolutely watering. Order one of Megan’s incredible cheese platters and opt to add on one of these babies! Better yet, we reckon it’s totally worthy of swapping out for the conventional mud cake at your wedding or milestone birthday.

We smell a smash hit, and what’s certain to be the first of many cheese cakes by Your Platter Matters. This one was decorated with figs and native flora, though you can customise the decorations and cheese flavours depending on your tastes and styling brief. Cheese was sourced from local supplier, White Gold Creamery who is equally passionate about artisan cheeses and the farmers who make them. It included a robust washed rind Triple Cream Brie layer and, hand-crafted right here on the Gold Coast, a melt-in-your-mouth Darlington cheese layer—a total crowd pleaser.

Any connoisseur will know quality cheese doesn’t come cheap so, not surprisingly, this ain’t no bargain cake. But you can also appreciate the value of a speciality cake that’ll leave all your guests talking (and having cheesy dreams) for many days to follow!

The little pocket rocket behind Your Platter Matters has got a bright future, especially where there’s cheese involved, so give Megan a call and see what magic she can create for your next special event.
