Just a month after Merivale announced it would be taking over the iconic Newport Arms in Pittwater, the hospitably giant has announced it’ll be spreading its wings to Sydney’s Inner West, finally!
Taking over the Queen Victoria Hotel in Enmore, the revamp is slated for early June and will have a strong food focus, with culinary duo Christopher Hogarth and Patrick Friesen (of Papi Chulo fame) heading up the kitchen.
Justin Hemmes, CEO of Merivale, said, “The Queen Victoria Hotel is another fantastic addition to the Merivale group in what is undoubtedly our most exciting year yet. I am passionate about creating world-class venues designed specifically around the local community and look forward to becoming part of Sydney’s thriving Inner West”.
Located just minutes from The Enmore Theatre, the strip has seen a bit of a rebirth lately with The Gretz and Bauhaus West both opening their doors. The new Merivale venue will be a great spot for a pre or post show feed, and will offer Hong Kong-inspired street food.
We can’t wait!
