Calling all aspiring yogis! It’s time to turn up the heat on your exercise regime and check out Brisbane’s sizzling hot yoga scene.

Any studio can feel toasty once you get moving, but doing the downward facing dog in a studio heated to above 30 degrees is a different story. Be prepared to sweat it out as the higher temperatures allow for a deeper stretch (#namaste) while the unavoidable heavy sweating is said to help flush toxins from the skin.

Armed with our yoga mat and towel we’ve sweated and stretched our way across the city to bring you the best hot yoga classes in Brisbane. And now we’re feeling #HotHotHot.

Harlow Hot Yoga & Pilates

It’s getting hot in here, so join the ranks of the #littleHarlows and sign up for the Harlow Hot Yoga yoga studio which has a day spa mentality, using essential oils to promote relaxation. For an extra beauty hit during your workout, try putting the Moroccan oil hair treatment through your hair before you settle in on your yoga mat.

Bikram Yoga The Gabba

East Brisbane

When it comes to hot yoga, Bikram Yoga The Gabba is gonna make you sweat. Owners Ben and Madeline ran Bikram studios in Thailand, and Singapore before moving to Mumbai to be part of the initial teaching staff at India’s first Bikram Yoga studio. Now they’re back home in Brisbane and each 90 minute class is conducted by teachers who were trained and certified by guru Bikram Choudhury and his senior teaching staff.

Zen Hot Yoga

Feeling hot blooded? Boasting the title of the first yoga studio in Australia to use Far Infrared technology, Zen Hot Yoga’s will heat you up from the inside out. In fact, they liken to taking a yoga class outside on a warm summer’s day. If you want to take your practice to the next level, sign up for their 30-day challenge.

Rebalance Pilates and Yoga

Various Locations

The heat is on at Rebalance studios around the city. Their Ignite Yoga classes are designed to relieve stress; balance and strengthen the glandular system, circulation, digestion and nervous system; and reshape muscles, tendons and posture. Plus, each yoga experience includes breathing exercises and deep relaxation or meditation so get ready to #exhale.

Salisbury & Capalaba

Fireshaper’s two locations offer the traditional 26 Asanas and 2 breathing exercises in the 90-minute Blaze and shorter Ignite class, conducted in 38 degrees. For something different try Burn–a fusion of hot yoga and weights to build lean muscle mass and burn fat set to a jamming soundtrack. Think of it as a disco inferno.

Bikram Yoga North Brisbane

Drop it like it’s hot at Bikram Yoga North Brisbane, another studio endorsed by guru Bikram Choudhury. With almost two dozen classes a week including 20 90-minute Bikram Beginning classes as well as 60-minute hot yoga, pregnancy, kids and yin yoga and meditation, Bikram Yoga North Brisbane offers everything from family passes to private classes.

Flex Hot Yoga

Norman Park & New Farm

Some like it hot and between two locations, Flex Hot Yoga run more than 50 yoga classes a week, most lasting 70 minutes. As well as Hot Power Yoga classes, set at 32 degrees, Flex also offers Ashtanga Yoga, a set sequence that uses synchronous movement, and Yin Yoga, a more meditative practice performed mostly on the floor.
