An Enchanting Light Festival Is Coming To The Gold Coast

If you’re looking to add a bit of magic to your winter, we have news for you! A light festival is coming to the Gold Coast and it’s going to be totally lit (pun absolutely intended).

The appropriately named event, GLOW, will see HOTA, Home of the Arts transform into a twinkling wonderland for the three-night festival.

Kicking off on August 9, the gardens will be adorned with enchanting installations and live performances. Expect illuminated art, music, dancing and—of course—culinary delights.

Light-goers will be wowed by Quadra—a walk-through experience of laser beams and sound created by internationally renowned artist Robin Fox. Meanwhile, dog lovers will swoon at the Insta-worthy Neon Dog Park with installations starring all breeds and sizes. The amazing Heliosphere is also sure to delight as an acrobat spirals and spins from a helium balloon.

But that’s not all! As night falls, the lakeside will become a canvas of sparkling fractured light—with a soundtrack to match! There will also be reflective magic, light explosions, immersive experiences and so. much. more.

Arrive hungry because there will also be an outdoor dining area (positioned under a canopy of even MORE lights, obvs). Food trucks and vendors will whip up a mouth-watering storm while the deluxe bar will have you covered with espresso martinis and glasses of red.

The best part? The enchanting winter festival is free! So, what are you waiting for? Fire up the group chat and make plans pronto. This is one magical event not to be missed!
