We solemnly swear we’re excited as hell.
Big news guys. Aussie muggle fans, sit tight because this one is for you. Australia is getting a dedicated, bricks and mortar Harry Potter store, and it’ll be open at the end of the month.
It’s called The Store Of Requirement (10 points for whoever came up with that one), and it’ll be popping up in Collingwood in Melbs which just gives us another excuse to head over there for a sneaky weekend away. The first of these opened up in Brisbane last year (on HP’s birthday, classic) and it went off. Melbourne’s the second city in Australia to get one and we're seriously hoping the good ol' GC will be the third.
So what can you Muggles expect? Quite a bit. Let’s start with Australia’s largest officially licenced range of memorabilia and collectables. Hats, wands, cloaks, house scarfs, figurines, potion kits, the Monster Book Of Monsters—the works. If you’ve ever been to the HP store in York, it’ll be like that (only way bigger). Prices will range from a cheeky $5 all the way to a $450 wizards’ chess set.
Details on the new launch are still trickling out (they’ve put a Fidelius charm on the exact address) but you can keep up to date with all the news on the store’s FB page.
Mischief managed.
