Is this not one of the most exciting things you’ve read this month? We almost dropped our smoothie bowl when we heard the news. Like seriously!
With Burleigh Social now an integral part of the Gold Coast’s café fabric, it was only a matter of time before the team were in search of the next project.
As we speak, the savvy lads including Jarrod Barnett, Kane Gibson, and Ray Lich, are in the midst of fitting-out a stellar new venue. With its regal name, Society of Florida will be even more buried in the depths of suburbia; but if the good-vibe environment they’ve created at Burleigh Social is anything to go by, it’ll be totally worth hunting down among the back-water ‘burbs of Broadbeach.
Bringing the same welcoming service culture, rather than just a casual café, we’re told Society of Florida will be a more refined space. While still fulfilling your coffee, breakfast, and brunch cravings, there are also plans for the hip joint to morph into a wine bar come sundown. Sounding sweeter by the minute, amirite?
They’ve hinted at the décor involving lots of white tiles, concrete bar tops, recycled hardwood tables, polished concrete floors, and both indoor and outdoor areas. All the other juicy details (um, like the menu direction for instance!) are being kept under wraps at this stage. But we’re cool with that. We love surprises.
You know their social media game will be strong too, so jump on over to Society of Florida’s brand new Instagram account for weekly teasers of build progress and launch updates. But you won’t have to wait long, the team have ambitions to throw open the doors around May. Hell to the yeah.
