When we caught wind the infamous Ze Pickle team were in the midst of masterminding a collaboration with newcomer to the GC, Doughnut Time we knew to expect just about anything.
But, like Ze Pickle‘s unforgettable Zessina collab with Messina Gelato, we were thinking it’d be a freakishly good dessert…We were sooooo wrong.
Enter the Doughnutfukwitdis. A freakin’ BURGER!
Let us explain—a single Wagyu beef pattie cooked to perfection, Nutella-smoked bacon (ah, yep, we are still awaiting an explanation on this stroke of genius), double Jack cheese and wedged between, wait for it, a grilled original glazed DT DOUGHNUT. Say what?!
Fast forward to 3rd January when this bad boy lands on the menu, we will be the first in line.
Next time you’re in Burleigh and you can’t decide if you want dinner or dessert, you can do both. At. The. Same. Time. Now we are not suggesting you eat more than one of these in your lifetime, but get ‘er in now because we all know those New Year’s resolutions don’t usually kick in until Feb. Just hold the fries.
The guys tell us this is one super-exclusive deal with Doughnut Time, who are not wholesaling their goodies out to anyone else. Personally, we are a sucker for sweet and savoury in the same dish. And while it may not be the most elaborate burger Ze Pickle has attempted (like the towering heart-stopper, Triple Loco), the original glazed DT doughnut and Nutella-smokiness will speak for itself. They’ve also got some rad new burgers landing in February so, stay tuned.
Come 3rd January you’ll probably be beating down Ze Pickle’s door along with the rest of the Gold Coast, ‘cause this limited edition feature will not be around forever. Plus with Doughnut Time delivering the “buns” fresh daily, once they’re sold out for the day, that’s it.
Honestly, what will they think of next?
Ze Pickle is dishing up the goods in Burleigh 5—11pm Tuesday to Friday, and noon—11pm Saturdays and Sundays. Plus, our neighbours to the north can now get their burger fix at Brisbane’s new Fortitude Valley location with the third Ze Pickle soon to land in Sydney’s Surry Hills. Go forth and conquer gents, burger-world domination!
Where: Corner Park Avenue and Connor Streets, Burleigh Heads
