The W Hotel development on North Quay is some scorching hot property with new features and attractions being announced every other day. It’s like Hogwarts or an advent calendar, and the latest from the W is the IKU Noodle Bar.
A scheme from the minds behind dining institute Reef Seafood and Sushi at Gasworks, IKU is modelled on bowl-building where visitors choose their noodle base, broth, and fillings to customise their own bowls. Head chef Shigeki Uno of Reef Seafood has built the menu fixings on family recipes, and with everything prepped fresh every day and ready to go, the bowls are super quick to prepare without skimping on quality.
If the success of Reef Seafood is anything to go by, IKU will quickly establish itself as a premium Japanese eatery that the Brisbane CBD is long overdue for. Expect fresh ingredients, authentic dishes, and a stunning departure from the usually lacklustre offerings at other hotels. We’d expect nothing less from the ultra-modern W.
The finer details are still being hashed out, but watch this space for details on IKU's opening.
