4 Spring Events To Book Right Now

By Rachel Lay - 04 Oct 2018

Spring is back, baby. The sun is out, the Jacarandas are almost in bloom, and winter feels like a distant memory. With spring comes not only our fave weather ever, but also our fave social season ever: it’s the spring racing carnival, guys! Aside from your desk now being inundated with online shopping packages, this means your social calendar is about to get hit pretty hard too.

There’s so much on it can easily feel overwhelming to decide where to spend your time. So don’t worry, we have your perfect guide to spring racing riiight here. All that’s missing is picking a winner. Which we can’t help you with, soz.

Group chat poised and at the ready, let’s do this.

First up, the season kicks off with ever-so-glam St Rita’s Caufield Cup Day. Grab tickets to this if you’re after MYER fashions on the field (where one lucky winner will score a trip to Melbourne for the Melbourne Cup including flights, accommodation, and access to the hottest parties), exhilarating racing action and live entertainment.

Next up is the Suez Cox Plate Day. This is the one for you if you’re more into racing for the social aspect. Think, food, fashion, entertainment, and a safe environment to know nothing about horse racing (don't worry, we got you). There will be Billy J Boutique fashion on the field, Arbonne Australia pamper stations, pop-up bars, food trucks, and live bands. Phew!

The penultimate race day, Padua College Derby Day, is going to be a monochromatic themed day of fun. Think action live on the track, more entertainment, and Billy J Boutique fashions on the field.

The action is all building up for the Canadian Club Melbourne Cup Day—it is the race that stops the nation, after all. Live racing, the action up on the screen, live entertainment, fashion on the field, food, drinks, and more. Of course, the birdcage will be back better than ever, and this time it's presented by Pimms.

Hit the links above to grab your tickets before they sell out - which they will, don't say we didn't warn you. You can grab general admission tickets for as little as $20, or you can be the most extra and book a marquee from upwards of $75 per person including eats and drinks.
