As summer starts to ramp up and the days get hotter, the temptation to bury your face in a mountain of ice cream increases. The struggle is real, guys. Rather than giving in to your sugar-fuelled, heat-induced urges, try an acai bowl instead! We're talking ice-cold, delicious berries topped with crunchy muesli and fresh fruit, it's the perfect guilt-free alternative. To save you time, we've rounded up some of Brisbane's best acai bowls. They're berry good for you (sorry).

Acai Brothers Superfood Bar | Redlands

New kid on the block, and Redland's first organic superfood bar, Acai Brothers are bringing healthy, delicious food to the masses. The shop opened on 4th October and if you follow them on instragram, it's easy to see why they're doing so well already! Aside from the traditional acai bowl, topped with muesli, fresh fruit and coconut, they also serve a dreamy Nutella acai bowl.

Kiss the Berry

As their slogan suggests, Kiss The Berry are acai specialists. Brisbane's first acai bar is dedicated to serving a wide variety of delicious acai bowls to suit just about everyone. For a twist on the traditional bowl, try the Watermelon Split, which includes watermelon, chia seeds and CoYo yoghurt. For something that sounds naughty, but isn't, try the Snickers Delight Bowl, which includes raw cacao, almond butter, and almond milk.

Press'd | Newstead

Newstead's very own smoothie and juice bar, Press'd, is serving up more than just amazing cold-pressed juice concoctions, they're also serving great acai bowls and an acai smoothie. Legends! If you're in a rush, grab the acai berry smoothie which includes acai, organic banana, blueberries, organic spinach and coconut water—the perfect natural energy boost to kick start any day.

Coco Bliss Superfood Bar

With four Brisbane stores spread out across Bulimba, Nundah, Newstead, and South Brisbane, there's bound to be a Coco Bliss near you. Pop in for one of their incredible acai or pink pataya bowls and customise your bowl by choosing your own toppings from fresh fruit, a tasty assortment of muesli and add-ins like chia, goji berries, LSA, and maca.

Raw Juicery | CBD

If you work in Brisbane city, you'll be pleased to know Raw Juicery on Adelaide Street has a great range of smoothies, juices, mega shots, and bowls to get your day started. Raw Juicery has quite the selection of acai and pink pataya bowls, including tropical storm and coco bowl, both topped with gluten free super muesli. If you're running late to work, grab an acai super smoothie instead.

Primal Pantry | Teneriffe

Catch up with friends over a cup of coffee and acai bowl at Newstead's Primal Pantry. Their primal acai bowl is absolutely delicious, comprised of pure organic acai, banana, coconut, raw honey and the incredibly tasty 'paleo hero' muesli.
