My body’s a temple. My body’s a temple. My body’s a… Oh, who am I kidding!? It’s only two weeks into the New Year and sticking to my new ‘get fit and eat well’ mantra is already proving harder than making eye-contact with a pack of Tim Tams and not eating the lot (in other words, the hardest thing ever).
If, like me, 2015 was going to be the year that you ditched all those bad habits you acquired in 2014, then you’ll be thrilled to know that the healthy eating gods—aka the team at Kiss The Berry—are making things a bit easier for us lacking in the self-discipline department.
Known for creating some of the best acai bowls in Brisbane, Kiss The Berry has gained a cult-like following, with queues around the corner for their crazy good acai bowls and delicious smoothies. And now they’ve just opened their second venue, this time in Southbank!
Overlooking the Parklands, and right opposite the Brisbane Wheel, Kiss the Berry’s new storefront is a super-chic open space, with vertical garden walls and a casual seating area, creating a lush, incredibly relaxing space. And the best bit? The menu doesn’t incur a bout of food guilt, because it’s all actually good for you! We like!
Whipping up their specialty acai berry bowls fresh to order, eating well has never tasted so damn delicious! Kiss the Berry uses the freshest produce, and with their love of sourcing local ingredients, you know you’re getting a ton of bang for your buck.
With 8 signature acai bowls, 7 signature smoothies, healthy snacks and treats, plus their own house-blended beans putting a punch in their coffees along with their oh-so-good cold-pressed coffee, Kiss the Berry isn’t just your average Brisbane health food joint; it’s your new local coffee spot, too.
Personally, we can’t go past their Snickers Delight Bowl; a blend of Kiss the Berry’s signature acai, banana, raw cacao, almond butter and coconut water. If you thought indulging in a real Snickers bar was good, you have to try one of these babies: just as delicious, minus the belly bulge.
We’ve already raved about Kiss the Berry here, so we say it’s your duty to get down to this new Brisbane café and check it out. Think of it as one of those new things to try in 2015.
