Coffee lovers, assemble! The Rocks Aroma Festival is back again, bringing us all the caffeinated goodness we’ve come to love and expect.
Celebrating all that is wonderful about coffee (um, like everything?!), we suggest you make like a mocha and head down to The Rocks this Sunday 26th July.
With workshops, pop-up cafes, and latte art classes throughout July, this is one epic coffee festival that no espresso expert, cappuccino connoisseur, or flat-white fanatic should miss.
Here are 6 very persuasive reasons why you need to add The Rocks Aroma Festival to your calendar this weekend.
#1 It's free
Look, we’re not calling you a cheapskate or anything, but if you live in this expensive city of ours, anything that saves us cash is welcomed with open arms. The Rocks Aroma Festival is free, which means you can have an activity filled Sunday without spending too much of your hard-earned cashola. Win!
#2 All the activities!
There will be more than 50 coffee and gourmet food stallholders, food trucks, vintage, and specialty coffee carts in the area ready to feed and fuel you. There will also be latte art comps and demos on, pop-up bars and cafes, roving performers, live coffee painting, the Aroma Shots photography exhibition and a specialty coffee lab. So. Many. Activities.
#3 Become a coffee master
Book yourself in for a workshop (check the site for the full line up), and spend an hour or two immersed in the wonderful world of coffee, courtesy of the Australian Specialty Coffee Association (ASCA). Some of the workshop highlights include: Brew Camp (where you can learn how to brew at home), Comparative Cupping With ASCA, Latte Art, and The Birthplace Of Coffee By Paramount Coffee Project. To book, head here.
#4 Sugar high
There will be coffee macarons, decadent High Coffee dining, and, of course, espresso martinis (AKA one of the best ways to enjoy coffee) on offer. Any resulting sugar crash can simply be reversed with a coffee. Success!
#5 Win, win, win!
We are giving away a double pass to Cupping with ASCA and the Roasters Guild on the 23rd July, where you’ll learn all about the craft of roasting, the variations of coffee flavours and find out just what is “slow coffee”. Fully-fledged coffee snobbery, here you come!
Entries to this competition are now closed.
#6 It’s a festival of coffee, for goodness’ sake
Guys, seriously. How often do you get to go to one of those? Lock it in!
Oh, and bonus—While you’re at The Rocks Aroma Festival, you can vote for your favourite coffee in The Rocks for your chance to win more than $3,000 worth of prizes, including a Breville Oracle Espresso Machine. Vote right here.
Yep, it's safe to say the flavour of the month is coffee. We’ll see you there!
