Ever feel like when a TV series ends, a small part of you dies? You miss your friends (like Rory and Lorlei), all that time you’ve invested and those emotions you’ve felt are now only a distant memory. We feel like that too.
As much as we’re excited (like, really, really excited) about the Gilmore Girls revival, there’s plenty of other TV series we’d also LOVE to make a return, to fill that hole in our heavy hearts.
One Tree Hill (2003 - 2012)
One Tree Hill in the glory days was #lifegoals. There really was nothing better, and we’re not happy those days had to end, not happy at all. No one wanted Peyton and Lucas to end up together! Right? Team Brooke all the way. How is Brooke anyway? And how’s her fashion line doing? Remember when she had a one-night stand with Nathan? Ew. Speaking of Nathan, do Hayley and him stay together? That was the real life version of 16 and Pregnant when you think about. How does it all pan out!?
Dawson’s Creek (1998 - 2003)
We don’t care if Dawson is Joey’s soul mate, do Pacey and Joey end up together or not? What happens when Pacey moves to New York? Does he become an alcoholic? We mean maybe, because, maybe Joey picks Dawson!? Oh God please no! We miss Jen (RIP). And Grams. Please bring them back so we can get on with our lives.
Buffy (1997 - 2003)
Who didn’t secretly want to be Buffy? There’s no other vampire slayer quite like her and all we ever wanted was to be a student at Sunnydale High so we could befriend her. Aka be her. We still want to be. So let us continue living our life through her already.
Sex and the City (1998 - 2004)
Carrie and her crew became our crew. We stood by their side for 6 years and they stood by ours. We went through break-ups together and drunk more cosmopolitans than any one should ever drink, but we did it together so it’s all above board. We might have been blessed with two movies but we want the real stuff - the tears, the tantrums and her god damn closet, OK?
Friends (1994 - 2004)
We swear our physical TV can’t even deal with the fact that they’ll never be a new episode of Friends again. We still want Rachel’s hair. How are we supposed to know how she styles it for her wedding? Because she gets married to Ross, right? They made us wait around for 10 years and we don’t even get an invite to the wedding!? We deserve better. We’re practically family.
7th Heaven (1996 - 2007)
When it comes to 7th Heaven, we just really miss their happy faces smiling back at us. The Camden family were the fictional rebels and saints we could always rely on. Remember when Mary got pregnant and Simon didn’t know what the middle finger meant? And cute little Ruthie suddenly turned into a teenager with major sass!? Someone please let us back on this emotional roller-coaster ride.
The O.C. (2003 - 2007)
The O.C. kind of died prematurely (sorry O.C. megafans, it’s true) but that doesn’t mean we don’t want it to come back, STAT. And can Marissa still be alive because who else are we supposed to get our fashion cues from? The questions are endless. How do we know what music we should be listening to? And do Seth and Summer actually last? Someone, anyone, give us the 411.
The Hills (2006 - 2010)
It’s been 10 years and we still care. Why did homebody wear combat boots to the beach? Ohhh Justin Bobby, a man so great he needed two names. Where are you and what are you doing with your life? And OMG, what about Jen Bunny and Stacie the bartender? Actually, we don’t care. Speidi still weirdly intrigues us though. Does Spencer still collect crystals? LC, we love you, we miss and we want you back (maybe sans headbands) for all of the adult-ing advice.
