Back for its fourth year, Burgapalooza—a festival that’s simply about honouring (mostly eating) your love of burgers—has become an icon on the Sydney foodie calendar.
Hosted at Prince Alfred Park Square in Parrammatta, Burgapalooza pools together the country’s absolute best burger creators. This year, you’ll be sampling buns from the likes of Brisbane’s Fat Belly Jacks, Newy Burger Co. from Newcastle and Burger Hounds from North Sydney. Regulars on the return include Down N Out, BL Burgers, Burger Head and the Mister Gee burger truck. All burgs are just $12, and they’re a little smaller too—so you can eat more of them, obviously.
As well as a whole lot of burgers, there’ll be a cheese sauce station, a chilli eating competition, the chance to try the States' trending Truffle Hot Sauce, vinyl DJs, live music, paired beers, and cocktails care of Fireball Whisky.
Jimmy’s Burgers has buddied up with Birdman for a fried chicken collab, and Fireball Black Bear BBQ will be doing a whisky-spiked, caramelised apple pig spit. Because plant-based burgers have come a long way since the humble chickpea patty, there’ll be a plant-based burger competition hosted by the legends at Alternative Meat Co.
To burn off your burgers, Menulog have created an inflatable obstacle course called “The Menulog Delivery Run” that will hopefully leave us all feeling a little more empathy for all those delivery heroes on bikes battling Sydney’s gnarly traffic.

BL Burgers "Truff Love". BL beef patty, American Cheese, maple glazed salami, truffle hot sauce, white onion and BL milk bun.
Fat Belly Jack's "Fat Belly Burger". Nashville hot chicken (served hot or southern style), red-eye mayo, oak lettuce, bread and butter pickes, custard milk bun.
Down N' Out "The Marrow". Scotch fillet wagyu beef patty from Bravo Meats, bone marrow gravy, Grana Padano parmesan, secret sauce.
Burger Head. BH beef patty, American cheese, Alabama white BBQ sauce, jalapeno cream cheese, Pimento cheese foam.
Mister Gee "Not Quite a Pie". Grass-fed beef patty, double American cheese, mushy peas, grilled onion, Bordelaise sauce, Linghams chilli mayo.
Birdman X Jimmy's Burgers "Cheetos Hot Chicken Sando". Cheetos fried chicken, McLure's sweet and spicy pickles, Westmont jalapenos, American ranch dressing, Cheetos Flamin' Hot puffs, brioche bun.
Newy Burger Co "The Newy Connection". Truffled Paris mash, Southern fried chicken, Swiss cheese sauce and gravy, parmesan-crusted bun.
Burger Hounds "Black Betty (Jam-A-Lam)". Smashed handmade 80/20 beef and bacon patty, Burger Hound's signature maple bacon jam, red cheddar, house-pickled Spanish onion and jalapeno, Gochujang mayo, signature black bun.
