Guys, We’ve Just Scored A New Margarita!

By Rachel Lay
13th Jul 2018

Guys, let’s get one thing clear: we’re suckers for a good margarita. Safe to assume you are too, given you’re reading this article, probably messaging your crew with the news that it’s most definitely almost marg o’clock. How did we know? We may or may not be doing that as we write this article.

Because no good margarita is complete without tequila, we asked our mates at Jose Cuervo to help us pull together this list of the best margaritas in your city for WORLD TEQUILA DAY......but that was July 24 - did we miss out!?

NOPE. Because those legends have extended the offer until August 5. So save this list, gather your crew, and celebrate with all of the margs - especially some brand new creations we had no idea existed!

The Morrison

An avo margarita? Yep. For real. It's a thing that's happening. Get to The Morrison to try this one. It's made with Jose Cuervo Tradicional Reposado Tequila and muddled avocado, so you know it's probably the most en point way to celebrate, if you ask us.

Assembly Bar

How does Jose Cuervo Tradicional Silver Tequila, Cointreau, lime juice and sugar syrup sound? If you answered absolutely perfect, we’d agree. Get down to Assembly Bar and live your best life.

Doss House

Doss House is just the kind of venue that makes you feel cool—you know the one. This old style vintage bar may be known for their whisky, but they do a mean margarita too. So get dressed up, save up all the goss you’ve got to tell your girls, and head to Doss House for a margarita (or two...)

Diesel Bar

What comes to mind when we say Cocorita? Yep, it sounds darn delicious. The legends at Diesel Bar are slinging this deliciously tropical iteration of the humble marg to celebrate World Tequila Day. Made with 1800 Coconut Tequila, elderflower, lemon and lime, we think you're going to fall head over heels for this drink.

The Rook’s Return

A good, classic, traditional margarita is hard to come by. That’s why we think you’re going to love The Rook’s offering. These guys use dry curacao for less of that sickly-sweet taste, and a much more rounded flavour, and they use freshly squeezed lime juice—it’s seriously delicious, and the most fitting way to celebrate if you ask us.

Freddie Wimpoles

Two words, people: jalapeno margarita. No, all margaritas are not created equally, and yes, jalapeno margaritas are the best. Freddie Wimpoles, we love you.

18th Amendment

Been wishing your luck would pick up? No probs, guys—just get to the 18th Amendment and order Jose’s Lucky Charm, they’ve got your back. And yes, this does feature mango and is garnished with a good luck charm. We’ll see you there then?

Well, guess we’re all craving a marg then? Head into these venues to try a Jose Cuervo margarita - 'coz, really every day should be 'World Tequila Day' - amiright!?
