Melbourne's renowned pay-as-you-feel vegetarian restaurant has spread its roots to Sydney, with the newly opened Lentil As Anything Sydney!

The 'honesty policy' restaurant founded by former Sri Lankan refugee, Shanaka Fernando, has set up shop on King Street Newtown, following 14 years of success across its four Melbourne outposts.

Lentil as Anything Sydney will offer an array of quality vegetarian dishes, where diners are invited to pay what they feel the meal is worth, or how much they can afford. The menu, to be rolled out over the coming weeks, features a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes, such as South African pumpkin stew, Mexican chilli, Spanish rice or Nepalese spiced dhal—many of which are also gluten-free.

Originally established in St Kilda in 2000, the chain currently offers vital workplace training and hospitality experience to people in need, including asylum seekers, the long-term unemployed and the mentally impaired.
