What do you get when you combine 12-hour slow-cooked meats, freshly baked baguettes, painstakingly perfected sauces and some of the best minds in the Sydney hospitality scene? Monster Rolls, of course.
This brand new Sydney restaurant is dishing up a hefty selection of sandwiches, salads and nibbles for your enjoyment. Sound familiar? You’d be right. They’re the guys behind the Monster Rolls food truck we loved so much. And now they’re setting up camp on Oxford Street.
What’s on the menu? I’m glad you asked. There are five mouth-watering rolls to choose between: beef, pork, lamb, chicken, and a veggie option so no one misses out.
All of the perfectly soft pull-apart meats are 100 per cent locally sourced, free range, grass fed and hand selected (say that five times fast), so it’s good for the feels as well as the hunger pangs.
The beef monster, with slow-cooked wagyu brisket, horseradish butter (!!!), barbeque sauce and fresh chilli will have you converted to the Monster ways in no time. While the lamb monster with tzatziki and balsamic onions is just what you’ll need after a long day of being a legend.
Carb-conscious or gluten free? No worries. You can get your hands on a monster salad with heaps of locally-sourced veggies and leaves and a honey dill dressing. Add some of their delicious slow cooked meats, crumbed chicken or veggie balls if that’s your style.
Want more? Of course you do, you stallion, you. You can grab some crispy chicken wings or some arancini ‘balls’ to round our your monster experience.
Before you ask, yes, they’re open late on Friday and Saturday nights for your after-hours cravings. Please thank us later for the inevitable foodgasms that will follow your visit to Monster Rolls.
