Gone are the days of schnitty pubs.

Sydney, our pubs are throwing up some seriously good specials. We’re talking trivia nights, dancing, comedy, epic pub feeds and cocktail and donut combos (not even joking).

Pubs have seriously upped their game so here’s a list of the best pub nights in Sydney (we challenge you to try them all).

The Unicorn

Paddington

The Unicorn is one of our absolute favourites and it’s not hard to see why. On top of hearty steaks, epic schnitties, burgers and cold brews for days, these guys are also nailing entertainment. Monday nights are packed to the roof with laughs as the Happy Ending Comedy Club provides The Unicorn with top stand up comedy plus cheap drinks and free (yes, free) snacks from 4-6pm every weekday.

Dove and Olive

Surry Hills

Trivia Tuesdays is possibly one of the greatest things in the planet. When else can you boast your brain power (or lack thereof)? Grab your clan and hit up Dove and Olive at 6:45pm. Obviously, you’ll need to fuel your brain too and lucky for you Dove and Olive supply some of the best pub grub around.

The London

Paddington

This one will have you saying “Thank God it’s Monday”. Kick-off your week the right way with a jug of cold beer and $1 ribs. That’s $1 ribs in case you missed that. We doubt you’ll find a better cure for those Monday blues.

The Oaks Hotel

Neutral Bay

Look alive Sydney, your mid week is about to get a whole lot more interesting. The Oaks Hotel is hosting Thursday night Latin dance classes. We’re pretty much down with all kinds of salsa, even the dancing kind. So whether you were born with two left feet (no judgement) or you’re more blessed in the coordination department, start shaking up the dance floor at the Oaks for some Latin rhythms.

The Sheaf

Double Bay

You might have spent your Wednesday nights here at this Double Bay institution as a youngin’ but the Sheaf is seriously nailing things on the musical front. Its latest addition, the Garden Bar, is home to an array of local talent playing everything from jazz, RnB, soul, funk, blues, reggae and your fave pop hits from the 80s and 90s.

East Village Hotel

Balmain

Unleash your eye of the tiger, there’s a darts competition at East Village. Every Thursday night, you and your friends should be right where the action is. And the best part? If you take the top spot, there’s a bar tab to be won. And a lifetime of bragging rights. Obviously.

The Royal Paddington

Paddington

Sunday at the Royal is the ultimate way to end your week. Celebrate yet another seven days you managed to adult properly (or not) with a Bloody Mary Sunday session on the Rooftop Bar or Verandah. Your Bloody Mary concoction is up to you and there’s a seriously good line-up of DJs too.

The Public

Cammeray

On the search for Sydney’s tastiest pub feed? Well The Public has just what you’re looking for. Monday nights at this modern, Mediterranean inspired pub proves these guys know all about the pub classics we all love, we’re talking an epic chicken parmi feed. Just the way we like it.

Annandale Hotel

Annandale

Annadale is stirring things up in the kitchen and we are all for it. Think, pop-up kitchen take overs. That means collabs people. The Annandale Hotel has already teamed up with Bush Burgers (pretty much the best burgers ever), Burgers by Josh and their latest -Mr Black Spirits. These guys are turning the courtyard into an espresso martini bar with different flavours every week paired with treats from Grumpy Donuts. Cocktails and Donuts? We are all about that life.

The Cottage Bar And Kitchen

Balmain

For awesome Saturday and Sunday vibes, hit up The Cottage. There’s live music from 1pm on weekends and paired with their famous cocktails and leafy courtyard with fairy lights, that’s a pretty good way to end a day, if you ask us.

The Chippo Hotel

Chippendale

So besides having daily lunch specials, live comedy downstairs at The Edge on Tuesday nights, and being dog friendly (aka fabulous humans), the team at The Chippo Hotel plate up $10 schnitzels every Tuesday which is the kind of thing we just had to tell you guys about.
