Hosted by Australia's leading celebrity and local chefs, from Thursday April 24 to Monday April 28, Kangaroo Island will set the stage for more than 30 individual degustation events as part of FEASTival 2014.
The event will feature a plethora of cooking displays, live entertainment and market stalls, as well as unique opportunities to enjoy a meal in the private home of a local cook, or go behind the scenes with Matt Moran and the legendary Margaret Fulton.

Island Pure Sheep Diary Floating Lunch
Set on the Kangaroo Island Shellfish Farm, guests will have the opportunity to sample the farm's fresh oysters served from little fishing boats in the shallows. Afterwards local chef Justin Harman will serve a casual tasting menu, featuring his range of sheep cheeses together with the island's best seafood and other delicious local produce.
Launch Dinner With Matt Moran
Renowned chef Matt Moran and local chef Tony Nolan will be preparing a spectacular Launch Night feast, founded upon the pair's philosophy of 'paddock to plate'. Taking place on a working farm, the event will feature an Argentinian banquet including pig, duck, geese and lamb, all cooked on a 15-metre custom-made grill.
Bay of Shoals Winery
With sweeping views over the vineyard, enjoy some of the 14 award-winning wines grown and produced on the estate. Patrons will also have the chance to tour through the wine-making facilities.
Dudley Wines Senses Safari
Head to this breathtaking cliff top cellar door for an indulgent wine tasting experience. Delight in Dudley's featured wines, perfectly matched with some of Kangaroo Island's finest fresh produce.
FEAST KI—FEASTival's Big Day Out
A day of food, wine and entertainment, FEASTival's Big Day Out offers a taste of Kangaroo Island culture. There will be market stalls, wine and spirit sampling, and Tourism Kangaroo Island Signature Dish Competition judged by cooking guru Margaret Fulton and the island's stellar chef Kate Sumner.
Housed within the Hannaford's family historic shearing shed, guests will be treated to a Southern Cypriot charcoal barbequed feast. The casual-style dinner will include rotisserie-cooked pork and chicken on the bone, and traditional Cypriot accompaniments. Bookings essential: 08 8559 2236.
The Garden Party With Margaret Fulton
The stunning Charlie Anderson's Kangaroo Island Farm will be transformed into a county-style garden lunch event, set to the pace and nostalgia of the 1930s. Featuring croquet on the lawn, preserve making, wool classing and sheep sheering, the event offers a rare glimpse into early Australian history. Guests will also have the unique opportunity of tasting some of Margaret's iconic dishes.
A traditional Italian affair, duo Alberto and Annalisa will serve food from the farm, with many customary meat-based Italian dishes reinvented for the vegetarian. Bookings essential: 08 8559 2284.
