Yes queens, it’s true. One of the Spice Girls is heading to Brisbane this year to headline The Wickham’s fabulous celebration of all things LGBTQ+, Big Gay Day.
Sure it may only be Mel C who’s coming down under, not the whole gang, but any true fan will know that one Spice Girl is better than none. Plus, we know you’ve got Mel C’s entire back catalogue downloaded on Spotify, don’t try to deny it.
So if you were left gutted when the girl group hinted that they were heading to Australia but then cancelled their plans, you might want to nab tickets to Big Gay Day straight away.
Taking over The Wickham and Alden Street behind the pub on Sunday 8 March, the glitter-filled event will also feature Sink The Pink, Electric Fields, Cry Club, The Regime and Being Jane Lane, along with a host of DJs and drag performers.
Other than fabulous entertainment, you can expect an epic day of pop up bars, games, activities and food trucks, as well as an explosion of colour, feathers and rainbow love. Check out the full line up and get your tickets here.
