If you don’t love coffee, then there’s something seriously wrong with you*. But if you do… then you’re our kind of people.
And our kind of people, also love to drink the best coffee on the Sunshine Coast at spots that are a little left-of-field and beyond the five-minute radius they’re bound to during the working week. Come those two glorious days called Saturday and Sunday, and there’s really no better way to explore the region then through a strong cups of joe.
So, jump in your car, your moped, or your pedal-powered bike (go you good thing!), and brush up on your Sunny Coast coffee shop knowledge with a visit to these gems.
*Let it be said, we also love tea-drinkers. ‘Cause we’re just big balls of fluffy love over ‘ere.
Humdrum Espresso
Eumundi
For some reason, when we hear Humdrum Espresso we think of humpty dumpty sitting on a wall. Except this time, he has a super smooth coffee in his hands and he isn’t going to fall off said wall, because he knows what he wants, and he wants to drink that god-damn coffee. Random vision aside, this Eumundi espresso bar has Clandestino coffee down to an art, so if you’re needing a break from the hustle of the markets on a Saturday morning, this is what we like to call a “safe place”.
High Tide
Mudjimba
Pretty much the spot you wanna hang in Mudjimba if you take your coffee with a piled-high bacon and egg roll and dash of people-watching. High Tide sits on the main corner in town, so you can keep an eye on all the action, aka cute couples coasting on their cruisers, surfers racing from the car to the beach, while you sip and bite your way to a different kind of morning glory.
Catalina
Noosaville
So we’ve shouted from the screen about MV Catalina, the stunningly refurbished boat that cruises the Noosa River, complete with a bar (hello cocktails!) and live music. But we haven’t said much about the Catalina coffee shop. Sitting at the entrance to the wharf, this is the place to grab a coffee on the river in the early morning. Find a posi on the grass or climb aboard the parked up boat and drink ‘til it hits the spot. If you’re in the north and hunting for the best coffee on the Sunshine Coast, look no further.
Urban Garden Nambour
Nambour
If you haven’t been to Nambour in a while, Urban Garden is the perfect coffee haunt to coax you, across the highway or down the range, to give the ol’ girl another go. Throwing open its doors to the new Nambour digs just over a week ago, if you’re already familiar with Urban Garden’s Maroochydore shop, then you know we’re not fooling around, when we say these guys serve up some of the best coffee on the Sunshine Coast.
Sonder Espresso
Birtinya
So there’s a pretty good reason you might not know about this Birtinya coffee spot. It’s because Sonder is new, super fresh, and just over six-months young, in fact! But with gorgeous styling you’ll want to rip off for your own abode, smooth cups of joe, and amazingly yummy noms, it’s not going to stay hush-hush forever. So get in and suss it out, before you’re the last one to this bohemian-infused party.
