Guys, this is really happening. All your (we mean our) dessert fantasies are about to come true. Next month plays host to a night market dedicated entirely to dessert and with things like ‘nice cream’ on the menu, we know it’s going to be good.
On July 28th, Goodness Me Box and The Grounds Of Alexandria will have us chomping at the bit with their one of a kind, dessert themed wholefood night market. The event will see sugar fiends, sweet tooths and even those who think they don’t like dessert (we don’t believe you for a second), gather for a night of delectable greatness.
Even significant others will be rejoicing for this one. There will be no sharing one soft serve between two (yes, we know that bite doesn’t technically count towards your daily calorie intake) because these sweet treats are made entirely from wholefoods—which means they’re actually good for you.
If you ever needed an excuse to have your cake and eat it too, then this is it. For one night only, you can sample things like the aforementioned nice-cream, healthy doughnuts, raw cakes, milkshakes and peanut butter treats as well as purchase take home goodies from a number of health food stalls that will be set up under the fairy lights. For those who’d prefer to chow down on something savoury instead of skipping the main and heading straight for dessert, you’re catered for too. Beyond the delicious desserts, there will be organic wine and nutritious dinner options from the BBQ-inspired menu.
There will also be talks and cooking demos held by some of Australia’s leading health and wellbeing advocates including Jessica Sepel, Jacqueline Alwill of The Brown Paper Bag, Luke Hines and Instagram sensation Taline Gabriel, the Merrymaker to keep you entertained while you munch on cacao and peanut butter protein balls.
