sydney's best dumplings

Calling all dumpling enthusiasts! Din Tai Fung are upping Sydney's dumpling game this winter with a little something called spicy dumpling roulette.

But what is this spicy dumpling roulette we speak of? Well, it’s a little bit like Russian roulette, except less violent and wayyyyyy more delicious. Played with up to six players, a roulette wheel sits on the table with six innocent looking dumplings occupying a segment. Cute as they may appear, one of these little guys is packed with a whole lot of spice. Diners take turns to spin the roulette and risk the chance of biting into the super spicy xiao long bao.

It’s all fun and games until you get the spicy dumpling. And, trust us, you will know pretty damn soon when you’ve lost. Fortunately though, the spice dissipates quickly and you can resume the feasting (be sure to try the brand new kimchi pork xiao long bao as well as the golden lava mocha balls).

Available from Din Tai Fung World Square, Chatswood, Central Park and Miranda for $12.80 per game throughout August, it’s a hilarious way to eat dumplings and to laugh at your unfortunate friends.
