Sydney’s about to go the whole hog when it comes to Southern style BBQ when the man himself, Rodney Scott, returns to Harpoon Harry for one mouth-watering night only this July.
This is one drool-worthy evening that meat lovers the city over won’t want to miss, with a traditional whole hog barbeque, cooked over coals for 24 glorious hours and basted lovingly with Rodney’s vinegar and pepper based sauce. Oh, and did we mention the squishy white bread? Because you get to eat that too.
For $25 expect to eat all of the things, with pulled pork, pork crackling (yes), devils white bread, Carolina coleslaw and, wait for it, pimento mac and cheese. For dessert there’s nothing as southern as fried apple pie with cinnamon ice cream to end your meal, and you can wash it all down with a moonshine shake.
Real lovers of BBQ can take things up a notch with a VIP sitting hosted by Scott with three courses shared in the legend’s honour, we’re talking skins and wings, all the trimmings, dessert and, you guessed it, a moonshine shake. There’s only 50 seats available so gather your meat loving mates and get on it, people.
