Guys, there is a Glow In The Dark Silent Yoga Disco happening in Sydney next month aaaand we’re just a little bit excited about combining three things we love into one awesome evening: downward dogs, beats and braids.
But what the what is it?!
Starting out in Hong Kong back in 2014, silent disco yoga spread to America and has now been brought to Australian shores by the guys at Flow Athletic and Stylerunner. June's event was so popular that they decided to bring it back this July!
Firstly, think of a Vinyasa yoga session. Now add glow in the dark Silent Sounds headphones. Throw in some mood music from DJ Jimmy Mack and take yourself on a yogic journey away from sounds of the other yogis around you. By taking away the distractions from what other people are doing or how they are breathing, you’ll be able to completely zone out and focus on your own practice. There'll also be a chance to get your hair done in some super cute yoga braids by the guys at Aveda before the yoga-ing begins!
This silent yoga event will be the biggest we’ve ever seen with around 550 yogis all shavasana-ing their way to Zen. Hosted by Australia’s most in-demand yoga instructor, Kate Kendall, it’ll be a totally unique way to try this crazy new fitness trend.
See you there, we’ll meet you in child’s pose.
