There’ll be an exhibit of beautiful designer Aussie brands, ranging from unique homewares to kids’ products. This week Avenue Q the musical has taken off in Melbourne! But this isn’t your average musical or puppet show. It’s the winner of three Tony awards, and takes witty and outrageous humour next level. Starward & Mork event
Whisky and chocolate…does it get any better?! We think not. The beloved Mörk chocolate and Starward whisky have teamed up to create an event dedicated exclusively to these two delights. You’ll get to taste locally made single malts, alongside pralines and gums that incorporate the same spirits. Gelato Fiasco Log Cabin pops up in Fitzroy
Kicking off this Friday, the Gelato Fiasco Log Cabin is popping up in Fitzroy. It’ll be running for six weeks and will feature some of the wackiest ice cream flavours you can imagine! Fusing American flavours with Italian cuisine, you’ll be able to grab yourself Wake ‘N Bacon (pancake flavoured gelato with maple syrup and bacon) or The Big County Brownie (mint gelato with brownie bits and choc sauce). Sounds pretty cray, huh?
Yarra Valley Truffle Hunt
If you missed out on the last few truffle hunts, fear not! This Saturday at the Yarra Valley, you get to learn a bit about these precious morsels and grab some cooking tips for home. You’ll spend the morn’ meandering through the valley to find your precious black gems, followed by an afternoon at Locavore Studio where you’ll see experience some cooking demos. Best bit? There’ll be an entire lunch dedicated to truffles before your return back to the city!
Market on High
Market on High has arrived to the Northside at Northcote Social Club! Running once a month, this is your ultimate place to hunt for bargains – both new and old. Whether you’re skimming for clothes, jewellery or accessories, there’ll be a bargain for you to nab here. You can even shop around while sipping on an Espresso Martini. Meat Your Maker
The Meat Your Maker fest is back! This one day ‘fleshtival’ is dedicated to artisanal, sustainable and ethical food – and you’ll get to meet the gardeners, butchers, farmers, hunters, gatherers and cooks who aim to bring you some of the most delicious goods around. It’s from the same guys who brought you Game Of Rhones earlier in the year, so it promises to be a good one. You’ll get to nibble on some meat and dairy tastings, check out panel discussions, and even watch some cooking demos. You can also get your meat sweats on thanks to the whole smoked meats, and pair it up with some delicious vino.
