Just because it’s cold out doesn’t mean you need to hide out! Rather the contrary—with these quiz nights in Melbourne, you can blow everyone away with your quiz skillz. Nothing better than a smug winning glow to heat you right up!
#1: Game of Thrones Quiz Night
The aim of the game is to drink and know things. If you don’t get that reference well… you probably shouldn’t go, TBH. But if you do get that reference, head on down to Nevermind Bar in Hawthorn on July 6th for some honey cakes, mea, and pigeon pie. We’re just kidding—they (probably) won’t have pigeon pie on the menu, but there will be food specials until 10pm. So get on down, quiz kicks off at 8.30pm. You don’t want to pull a Vale and arrive in the nick of time or worse, rock up too late and not get a table.
It’s free entry so you don’t have to worry about not having cash and having to pay your debts. Find out more here.
#2: Cards Against Humanity Quiz Night
Starting on July 6th and running the first Wednesday of every month, The National Hotel in Richmond will play host to a quiz night dedicated to possibly one of the best games ever; Cards Against Humanity. Love it or hate it, you can’t deny that it’s pretty damn hilarious (if played with the right people). Hosted by Melbourne’s culture king, Mikey Cahill, it’s an event not to be missed.
#3: Harry Potter Quiz Night
Ah, Harry Potter. The gift that keeps on giving. First there were the books, then the movies. 2016 has brought a new play and book. And now, Station 59 in Richmond is kicking things up a notch with its Harry Potter quiz night! On July 23rd, make your way down to Station 59 and compete to see who’s a truly knowledgeable Ravenclaw or who can’t handle defeat and plots their revenge, Slytherin style. Bookings are essential so check out the Facebook event for further deets.
Remember, it does not do well to dwell on dreams and forget to live—so go on, book a ticket and spell bind us all with your wit and knowledge!
