Apollo Bay Is Throwing An Epic After-Dark Winter Festival

Dark Mofo may be over, but Apollo Bay is keeping the after-dark fun alive with an epic new dark-arts winter festival. It’s called Winter Willd, and it’s going to be held over four weekends on the Great Ocean Rd. Expect insane tunes, visual art, live performances and epic bonfires (ultimate warmth right there).

Winter Wild kicks off on Saturday 1 July. Each night will begin down on the beach, then move back into the town, where the streets will come alive with roving performers and projections. There’s no room for cold-haters because the winds are going to be blowing strong peeps.

The program will be broken up into four themed weekends: Water (1 – 2 July) Earth (15 – 16 July), Air (29 – 30 July) and Fire (12 – 13 August). So choose your element or go nuts on all four. Unlike Dark Mofo, there's no officially sanctioned mass nude swim...but nobody's gonna judge if you try to start your own.
