Last year, Newmarket went up against San Telmo, hammer and tong! Bringing home the trophy, (and title of BBQ pit-masters), Newmarket Hotel have decided to risk it all again, against Fancy Hank's Bar-b-que.
There will be three rounds of dishes in the sizzling BBQ Throwdown, Bones, Beast, and Bangers, where each team will compete for finger lickin' approval. Think Mallee Oak grilled Argentinian style wagyu short ribs from the Newmarket Hotel up against Hank's Virginia style smoked hot wings. Other meaty must-haves include pit barbecued, banana leaf wrapped Wessex Saddleback suckling pig from the Newmarket team, against Chestnut smoked Riverina Brisket from Fancy Hank's Bar-b-que.
Sorry vegos, this one's a sit out for you, but meatlovers, get ready to stick on a bib and get your fingers and chompers dirty for a marvelously meaty good time. First date material only for the brave of heart (beats a #dirtystreetpie any day).
