Usually, after you’ve knocked off a 5km or 10km run you’ll immediately reach for a big old bottle of water, or a Powerade. But that’s not the case in Melbourne’s upcoming Beer Run.

The Beer Run will be starting a Richmond’s newest brewery—Burnley Brewing—before visiting four other breweries on the 5km route.

You’ll be hitting up a who’s who of Victorian brewing royalty as you sprint through Mountain Goat, Moon Dog, The Craft & Co, before finishing up at The Mill Brewery for some post-run pints.

Everyone who takes part will receive a goody bag as part of their ticket, as well as an ice cold frothy ale in each brewery, a Beer Run bib, and, of course, a number and your medal.

Entry will only set you back $55, and there are only 250 tickets available.

Tickets go on sale Wednesday 21 March.
