Melbourne’s Best Happy Hours

By Chris Canty - 17 Aug 2018

What's better than drinking at one of Melbourne's best bars, you bewilderedly ask? Drinking at one of Melbourne's best bars, at happy hour prices of course

Since the 1920's, the hours immediately following the traditional working day has been referred to as 'Happy Hour', for blatantly obvious reasons—1. Work is finished for the day, and 2. It is now socially acceptable to consume alcohol.

Nowadays, 'Happy Hour' is interpreted in countless different ways, by oodles of Melbourne bars, making it hard to know where to head and when to head there to get the best happy hour deals available. So, we got in touch with the crew over at The Happiest Hour who absolutely know their stuff when it comes to deals around Melbourne and got some help.

The Happiest Hour started as an excel spreadsheet in 2004 written by two impoverished students and has since become Australia’s largest food & drinks specials platform. Two weeks ago they launched new app (over 30K downloads since) which notifies you when your favourite venues add or update specials.

Here are the top picks of happy hours in Melbourne from Chris Canty—founder of The Happiest Hour.
