There’s A Huge Open-Air Day Party Coming To The CBD

By James Shackell - 14 Aug 2018

Chuck Saturday 10 November in your diaries, guys. Record labels Soothsayer and I OH YOU are joining forces to turn the RMIT bluestone courtyard into one gigantic, open-air day party.

It’s called City Loop. There’s gonna be two stages, set up against the walls of the Old Melbourne Gaol, and a rotating mix of Australia’s biggest dance acts.

Ready for names? Here we go. Dance and electric star CC:DISCO! Will be spinning the decks (if you caught her at Sugar Mountain last year, you’ll know how good that news is). Cut Copy will be there, as will Melbourne duo Kllo (think RnB meets garage meets 2-step meets god-knows-what) and LA-artist Channel Tres—him of the deep voice and Midwest house beats.

The line-up runs bloody deep to be honest. You’ve also got Melbourne’s 11-piece disco specialists, Dance Party, Francis Inferno Orchestra, Love Deluxe, Melbourne’s own Midlife and Brisbane-born rapper Miss Blanks.

$45 Early Bird tickets have sold out, unfortunately. But there’s still First Release going for $55 a pop. You can check out the FB event over here. Head to Moshtix for tickets.
