If you’re from Melbourne, or even if you’ve ever visited Melbourne, you’ve most likely hit up the delicious sights of the David Jones Food Hall on Bourke Street.

Well, following on from the successful rollout of their new food concepts in Sydney, DJs have just opened their first new premium food concept in Malvern.

What you’re going to find is a ton of amazing, fresh, locally sourced, premium offerings—a lot of which fall under the David Jones Food brand that was launched last year.

There are 120 new David Jones Food products that have been launched at the Malvern Central store, ranging from nut butters, Australian extra virgin olive oils, BBQ spice rubs, and even 14 varieties of farm-sourced mushrooms.

There’s a massive focus on locally sourced products, which is evident in dairy products are sourced from Fitzroy’s St David Dairy, cheese from That’s Amore, sourdough from Zeally Bay Sourdough in Torquay—along with coffee from Sensory Lab available.

The store also has a big focus on convenience, so you’ll find a ton of pre-packaged vegetables, ready-made meals, as well as a great selection of fresh vegetables and meats.

David Jones has also partnered with Neil Perry to create a food-to-go offering which includes rotisserie meats, salads, and sandwiches along with their coffee bar that serves organic coffee, paninis, and all-day brunch.

And if during your visit you find yourself a bit parched, you’ll be glad to know there’s also a grog section where you can pick up a cheeky wine on the way home.

You’ll find the store at Malvern Central, and it is open the same hours as the existing David Jones store.
