Fashion Meets Nature | Royal Botanic Runway

Melbourne's Royal Botanic Gardens have provided a picturesque backdrop for many occasions – moonlight cinema canoodlings, chilled out picnics, weddings, 101 dalmatian leash entanglements, and serious sweat sessions while pounding the Tan track.

But, while Lululemon is on high rotation, you couldn't really call the Tan a fashion hotspot. Until now…

Come January 30th, this will all change with the glamorous debut of the Royal Botanic Runway, a fashionable and philanthropic affair raising funds for the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne Water Strategy Project. (Entry will go towards the $3.5 million required to drought-proof the Gardens in the Project's final stage).

As the clock strikes 5:30pm, 60 native and international stunners will take to the open-air runway of the Gardens' Guilfoyle's Volcano to strut their stuff alfresco styleé. What's more, these rare and beautiful birds will be preening themselves in finery from four of our most lauded local design talents – Akira Isogawa, Collette Dinnigan, Aurelio Costarella and Martin Grant.

Beautiful fashion in an iconic outdoor location – what's not to love?

There are a variety of ticketing options available, from the basic – general admission for $28 – to the luxurious – $1000 including bubbles galore and a black tie dinner with Shannon Bennett himself. We're going middle ground with either the moonlight cinema package, or the VIP deal that includes a post-runway knees up at TUL fave, The Botanical.

So book your tickets here and protect this iconic slice of Melbourne.
