It’s time to dust off your dancing shoes and your favourite floral patterned jumpsuit because one of Melbourne’s biggest spring entertainment season events just got cranked up a notch and it’s leaving no tune unturned.
This October, Melburnians are invited to two days of ritzy cocktails (including Pimms!), brewery fresh beers, delicious epicurean eats, designer fashion and live entertainment from The Temper Trap and global DJ Grant Smillie. Where the bloomin’ heck can you find this extravaganza of food and entertainment in the one place? At one of Australia’s most exciting and prestigious race carnivals—the 2017 BMW Caulfield Cup Carnival from 14 – 21 October.
If you’re totally looking to celebrate spring in #style, splash out on some hot tickets to the pop-up Moet & Chandon Lawn, where there’ll be all-inclusive bubbles with premium beverages and gourmet nibbles to eat throughout the day. Better yet, head over to the live music stage where there'll be a dedicated Pimms bar and entertainment throughout the day. People, dreams do come true.
Centered around a schedule of elite thoroughbred racing, the horses themselves will be fighting for the spotlight against throngs of entertainment hubs. This includes The Carlton Draught Front Bar where you can sink an ice cold brewery fresh ‘tank’ beer (the first of it's kind available at a race day down under), and the luxe David Jones Fashion Stable where you can make yourself feel like a solid ten amongst the spectacular designer runway shows. When you feel the hangry coming on, there'll be a smorgosboard of mouth-watering treats from the likes of STKBB, Biggie Smalls and CHE.
You can also lend your good looks to the Westfield Style Stakes custom made photography studios and freshen up at the Priceline Beauty Pavilion after an hour of tearing up the D-floor at The Carlton Draught Front Bar where Aussie band, The Temper Trap, will be throwing down a live set on Ladbrokes Caulfield Guineas Day.
So, not only does your general admission ticket get you access to elite thoroughbred races, but also to a bevy of delicious fresh food and drinks, ARIA award-winning live entertainment and exposure to designer fashion your mum and her sewing machine couldn’t recreate in even her wildest dreams. Ain’t that a Sweet Proposition?
General admission tickets will set you back a measly $30 or $40 depending on your day of choice, which is the same price as a large popcorn combo from the cinema, but with seven-thousand times the value. Unfortunately, this early bird price is only available until midnight on September 24 and tickets are quite literally sprinting out the starting gates, so secure yours now to avoid missing out on the biggest food and entertainment fiesta on Melbourne’s event calendar this spring.
