Summer’s over but all is not lost, Listers! The arrival of chilly autumn nights means meatier foodie events are popping up around town, including Mr Lawrence’s Pork & Cider Wednesdays. For the month of April, the Port Melbourne restaurant and pub will offer a craft cider and matched pork meal combo, with producers changing each week. Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt and Picnic at Werribee Park

Excuse me, did someone say chocolate?! That’s right, Listers, the famous Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt and Picnic will be held once again at Werribee Park, promising a fun day out for the whole family! Kids can run riot around the beautiful grounds, seeking out Easter eggs along the way, while the adults can relax and enjoy the picnic action. Not only will the event be stacks of fun, it’s also a great fundraiser—all proceeds will go towards the Good Friday Appeal!

Easter Egg Hunt at Café Vue Heide

Set amongst the picturesque grounds of Heide Museum in Bulleen, Café Vue will be hosting a fun, family-friendly Easter Egg Hunt this Easter Sunday! Autumn Scarf Dinners at Green Park

Green Park in Carlton North is the latest Melbourne restaurant to host Scarf Dinners, a series of dinner events giving young refugees, asylum seekers, and new migrants the opportunity to gain hands-on hospitality experience. For $40 you’ll be treated to a two-course set menu, with dessert and coffee also available to order. Not only will you leave the Scarf Dinner with a satisfied stomach, you’ll also leave safe in the knowledge that your dinner has helped train the next generation. A win-win for all.

Luke Burgess Dinner at Circa, The Prince

The Month of the Prince is back, Listers, and it all kicks off with the Luke Burgess Dinner! The superstar chef from famed Hobart restaurant, Garagistes, will join Circa executive chef Ashly Hicks in creating a five-course fine dining menu that showcases the finest Australian produce—think heirloom tomatoes with smoked oysters, and Flinders Island lamb with sweetbreads, tomatillo and nasturtium. Street Feud at The Deck

Foodies of Melbourne, let’s get ready to rumble—Street Feud is back and better than ever! The food festival battle will see top Melbourne restaurants and cafes Charlie Dumpling, Newmarket Hotel, Fonda, Acland St Cantina, 10 Greek Plates and Candied Bakery battle it out against each other in order to get their mitts on the ‘Street Feud Supreme’ trophy. Each vendor will sell one dish, with the public voting on their favourite street eat at the end. Will Charlie Dumpling win for the second year running? Or will it be a Street Feud newbie? Either way, you’re in for an epic afternoon of feasting!

Everything is a Remix at The Deck

If you want to know more about wine, book yourself in for Everything is a Remix at The Deck! Wine pros Brash Higgins, Gareth Belton and more will be hosting this fabulous wine night over dinner, which includes four wine flights and moreish canapés by Ashly Hicks of Circa fame. The guys will talk you through a variety of old-school winemaking techniques plus the styles that are slowly, but surely, making their way back to mainstream. Bring on the wine!

Oyster Frenzy at The Deck

When it comes to foodie things to do in Melbourne, none make the crowds go as wild as Oyster Frenzy at The Deck. The 10th instalment of the uber popular ode to the oyster, Oyster Frenzy is your chance to devour as many oysters as you can possibly eat, along with crab, seafood canapés, and a bevvy of beverages.
